Benefits of Hybrid Martial Arts Classes

Are you ready to see your teenager positively transform both on and off the mat?

Courage

Being a teenager nowadays can be hard, scary, and overwhelming. One of the most important things your teenager will learn on the mat is how to build up their courage on and off the mat. They will learn how to handle challenges and be empowered to stand up for themselves and stand up against their obstacles to make them stronger.

Focus

Our classes teach your teenager how to focus on the the right things. Instead of video games and scrolling on their phones they can focus on their own self-improvement. Martial Arts is a great way to take their energy and focus it on something productive and positive.

Respect

Martial Arts begins and ends with respect. Our students learn how to respect, protect, and empower their teammates and themselves on the mat. One of the best things you can do for your teenager is to put them in an environment where they learn to respect themselves.

Community

One of the best ways to help put your teenager on the right track? Get them around the right people! People setting and achieving goals, working on themselves, and empowering one another to be their best!

Transitioning to Hybrid Martial Arts has been without a doubt one of the best decisions we’ve made.

My family and I have been training together at Hybrid Martial Arts for 5 months. From the very beginning, Coach Josh and his lovely wife Lauren have been very accommodating.

They recognized our abilities from our previous training and introduced a curriculum that helped to not only sharpened our skills but take them to a new level. Week after week, we learn different techniques from various forms of martial arts all while sticking with the basics fundamentals.

Powerful self-defense that keeps you safe.

It is what we call a workout with a purpose. Learn the invaluable skill of self-defense so you can protect yourself and your loved ones, even if an attacker is bigger and stronger than you.

While we never want to get into a fight, we definitely want to be prepared to defend ourselves if the time ever comes. Don’t wait until after. Help your child learn today.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions and answers about our Teen Martial Arts Programs

  • We find that Martial Arts is great for everyone. Whether your child is a multi-sport athlete looking for cross-training OR they have never played a sport before in their life. Martial Arts is an individual activity in a team setting. Meaning they don’t have to keep up the pace with everyone else - They can ease into their training in a way that they enjoy. Rather than being thrown onto the field or the court and feeling pressured.

  • Every class is 45 minutes long and focused on a core theme for the night. That may mean kickboxing and mitt work, grappling on the ground, or some other various technique or combination. We keep every class structured, but different enough to keep training predictable, safe, and fun!

  • A motto they will hear on the mat - They can expect to Sweat, Smile, and Learn! Our classes offer a fun, safe environment with a community of like-minded individuals working towards a common goal of becoming better. While anything new can be intimidating, we will make sure you feel comfortable and welcomed as you begin your martial arts journey.

  • Make sure they wear something comfortable to workout in (Think like gym clothes for school).

We recommend bringing a water bottle and coming in a few minutes early so we can make everyone feel comfortable. By the end of the class, we will have them sweating and smiling. :)

  • Hybrid Martial Arts teaches Mixed Martial Arts, meaning there are various styles blended into the curriculum. In our classes you will learn Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, basic ground defense, and Jiu Jitsu.

  • Absolutely! We encourage parents to watch their children in their Kids Martial Arts lessons. We love parents who are involved and want to watch class. And so do their kids! Even better, join into some of our martial arts classes for adults. Nothing is cooler than families who train together!

But - If you are like most parents and need a few minutes of “me-time? That’s okay, too. You are encouraged, but definitely not required to stay and watch. And especially for some teenagers, they actually prefer you wait in the car ;)
